Volleyball was held in the summer of Tokyo 2020. The volleyball Tournament was played during the 24 of July into 8 August of 2021. The tournament was delayed due to the pandemic of Covid-19.
25 indoor teams have qualified for the tournament and each game took place at the Ariake Arena in Ariake.

The qualifying teams had been put into different seeds following the serpentine system according to the FIVB World Ranking the pools were labeled A-F.
The final Team for gold in Beijing 2020 team USA had played team Brazil for the finals. The game had lasted 1 hour and 35 minutes. Team USA had beat Brazil in three sets and putting the final score at 25 to 13.
