Comment:

In the article “Here comes Everybody” Shirky mentions the praise of scribes and the position of scribes. Only a certain amount of people had that experience in writing back in the 1400s. Slowly small things have been discovered however it was extremely rare and difficult to write about these discoveries due to little information. The state of the literature on the relationship between media was overrun by political polarization. Only a few things were allowed to become published and were run by a democracy which determined what was allowed to be written with such little information was provided due to all the gatekeeping. This created some stigma about writing, there were also some consequences when journalists would gatekeeper information or writing. Slowly displacing came to evolve once the technology was being used in writings and sharing stories amongst the communities and society.
